The European Le Mans Series was created in 2011 and it has since become a benchmark for endurance fans. Team spirit and long-distance performance, as is the case in the Le Mans 24 Hours, are at the core of the European Le Mans Series. Top-class professionalism and racing combine with accessibility and joviality.
After 2015, in which the series met with great success among drivers, teams and spectators, this year’s European Le Mans Series comprises six events on six of the most beautiful circuits in Europe, not five as was previously the case.
The 2016 field has attracted a particularly rich, competitive entry of no fewer than 44 cars thus combining quality and quantity. The LM P3 category is particularly well represented with 20 entries (announced at the start of the year) including 19 Ligier JS P3s, and it shares the billing with the LM P2s and GTEs.
